Dacia Striker 2026: Price, Hybrid 155, Pros and Cons, First Look

Dacia Striker 2026 in the Journey trim with the Hybrid 155 full hybrid and a price of 121,500 zloty. Is it worth the money? We take a first look.

The Dacia Striker was presented at a Polish event. This is a first look at the model, not a full test drive. The assessment is based on what could be checked during the presentation: exterior design, interior, trim levels, practicality, stated specifications, and price.

The Journey version with the Hybrid 155 powertrain is under review.

Design

The Dacia Striker has its own distinct style. What matters is not only a modern look but also the harmony of proportions, details, and overall shape.

  • Front: The characteristic LED light signature and the expressive shape of the front bumper stand out. The design does not aim for an overtly elegant or sporty look. It appears modern and somewhat more assertive.
  • Side: The body proportions, glass line, and black roof rails, which are fitted on all versions, are evaluated. The lower plastic body cladding is made from a special material. The wheel arches are visually widened, as on sports cars.
  • Rear: Distinctive lighting elements and clearly defined body lines are present.

The car does not need an aggressive design to attract attention. Its role is to stand out while still looking appropriate both at home and in an office car park. Perception of appearance is subjective: some will like the more assertive style, others the more restrained one. Either way, the model has its own character.

Journey Trim Level

Journey is one of the top trim levels in the Striker lineup. The equipment set may vary between individual vehicles.

The Journey version includes:

  • tinted rear windows;
  • power tailgate with hands-free opening;
  • multimedia system with a 10.1-inch touchscreen, online navigation, and 3D sound;
  • keyless entry;
  • wireless smartphone charging;
  • heated steering wheel and front seats;
  • partially power-adjustable driver's seat.

These features affect everyday comfort. They do not always determine the choice of a vehicle, but during daily use they can become significant. Rich equipment comes at a price. Before choosing the Journey version, it is worth determining which features the buyer will actually use. Some buyers consider heated seats important, while others prefer a lower price and basic equipment.

Interior

Ergonomics in a car is of primary importance. The assessment covers seating comfort, the readability of key information, and the ease of operating basic functions.

  • Instrument panel: The information display for the instruments has a 7-inch diagonal. The central multimedia screen measures 10.1 inches. Some information is shown in front of the driver's eyes, while multimedia and additional functions are controlled from the central screen.
  • Rearview mirror: Manual. There is no electrochromic mirror.
  • Interface: From the user's perspective, response speed, readability, and intuitiveness of control while driving are important. These parameters need to be verified during a full test.
  • Seats: The driver's seat has partially electric adjustment, and both front seats have lumbar support adjustment. Heating is provided for the front seats and the steering wheel. These features are especially useful for year-round use.
  • Trim: Materials used include Microcloud and plastic elements, among others. The color scheme matches this version. The quality of the materials and their durability can only be shown by long-term use: resistance to daily wear, ease of cleaning, and condition after several years.
  • Organizers: Clip-on holders are provided.

For a car intended for daily use, a combination of comfort, simplicity, and practicality may matter more than eye-catching details.

Practicality

The top-level version features a power tailgate with hands-free function and a split-folding rear seat with Easy Fold and an armrest.

When inspecting the vehicle, you should assess:

  • the width of the trunk opening;
  • the height of the loading sill;
  • the shape of the cargo area;
  • how easy it is to fold the rear seats.

Trunk volume in liters does not give the full picture. Two cars with similar volume can accommodate suitcases, a baby stroller, or large items very differently. The same goes for the rear seat: it matters not only whether passengers can fit, but also the amount of legroom and headroom, as well as comfort on long trips.

Powertrain

The Hybrid 155 system is a full hybrid, not a mild-hybrid system in which a small electric motor only assists the internal combustion engine.

Technical specifications:

ParameterValue
System typeFull hybrid
Petrol engine1.8 L
Total system output155 hp
Traction battery1.4 kWh
0–100 km/h accelerationapprox. 9.5 s (manufacturer's claim)
Top speed180 km/h (manufacturer's claim)
Fuel consumption4.2–4.3 L/100 km (catalogue data)

The system does not need to be connected to an external power source. The stated specifications indicate an emphasis on reasonable performance and reduced consumption in urban and everyday driving, rather than on sporting figures.

The hybrid powertrain has several strengths: full hybrid operation, adequate performance, and a claimed low fuel consumption. Real-world consumption and behavior in everyday driving have not yet been verified.

Safety and Assistants

Driver assistance systems are becoming increasingly important. The Dacia Striker is equipped, in particular, with:

  • adaptive cruise control;
  • an emergency braking system;
  • a lane-keeping system;
  • a road sign recognition system.

The standard equipment also includes a rear-view camera and rear parking sensors. This is important when driving in the city, where you often have to park in tight spaces and move through dense traffic.

Having these systems on the equipment list does not guarantee that every assistant will work the way the driver expects. Calibration, clarity of warnings, and the ability to adjust the settings to personal preferences are all important.

Price

Dacia traditionally occupies a position in the market thanks to its balance of price and features. Today, buyers expect modern equipment, an efficient powertrain, and comfort, which a few years ago were associated primarily with more expensive cars.

According to the price list valid from 13 October 2026, the Dacia Striker Hybrid 155 in the Journey trim costs 121,500 zloty. This is the recommended price. When making a decision, check current offers, possible promotions, financing terms, and the equipment of the specific vehicle.

There is no single answer to whether this is expensive or inexpensive. The assessment depends on expectations and on the models used for comparison.

  • If your priorities are low operating costs, rich equipment, and a full hybrid that doesn't need to be plugged in, the Striker may be an interesting option.
  • If the main factors are maximum interior space, high-quality finish, or outstanding performance, don't make the choice based on the catalog alone.

It's also worth checking whether you really need the Journey trim. A simpler version may provide most of the features you need, and the price difference could be put toward other needs.

Conclusions

The Dacia Striker Hybrid 155 in the Journey trim combines modern design, rich equipment, and an economical hybrid powertrain.

Advantages noted at the presentation:

  • rich equipment of the Journey trim;
  • full hybrid without the need for charging;
  • features that simplify daily use: power tailgate, heated front seats and steering wheel, power-adjustable driver's seat;
  • an interesting multimedia system.

Questions that remain unresolved:

  • Assessing ride comfort, suspension performance, cabin noise insulation, and real-world fuel consumption is not possible from a static presentation.
  • These parameters will be decisive during a full test drive.

At this stage, the Dacia Striker is considered a promising offer with several strong arguments, one that requires verification in real road conditions. A full test drive is planned for publication after the car appears in dealerships in early next year.

Exterior

The Dacia Striker stands out with a modern style and an expressive front end, without an aggressive or sporty bias.

  • Distinctive LED light signature at the front
  • Expressive front-end shape, a more assertive but not sporty style
  • Black roof rails are standard on all versions
  • Lower body cladding made of a special material
  • Widened wheel arches, like those of a sports car
  • Distinctive light elements and clean body lines at the rear

Journey trim equipment

The Journey trim offers rich equipment, including a power tailgate with hands-free bsleess opening, but the expensive equipment should be considered consciously.

  • Tinted rear windows
  • Power tailgate with hands-free opening function
  • Multimedia with 10.1-inch screen, online navigation, 3D sound
  • Keyless entry, wireless smartphone charging
  • Heated steering wheel and front seats
  • Partially power-adjustable driver's seat

Cabin and Ergonomics

The cabin is built on a modern layout: information is shown on a 7-inch screen in front of the driver, and multimedia on a central 10.1-inch screen.

  • Instrument panel with a 7-inch screen
  • Central multimedia screen of 10.1 inches
  • Rear-view mirror is manual, without an electrochromic coating
  • Front seats with lumbar support adjustment and heating
  • Microfiber and plastic trim elements are used
  • Clip-type holders are declared

Practicality and Trunk

Practicality: power tailgate, split rear seat with Easy Fold and armrest. Key factors are opening width, sill height, and cargo area shape.

  • Power tailgate with hands-free function
  • Split rear seat with Easy Fold system and armrest
  • When inspecting, the opening width, sill height, cargo area shape, and ease of folding the seats matter
  • Volume in liters does not tell the whole story: what matters is actual loading of suitcases and a stroller

Hybrid 155 Powertrain

The Hybrid 155 powertrain is a full hybrid (not a mild hybrid) with a 1.8-litre petrol engine and an electric motor, a combined output of 155 hp, and a 1.4 kWh battery.

  • Full hybrid, no charging from an external power source
  • 1.8-litre petrol engine and electric unit
  • Combined system output of 155 hp
  • Battery capacity of 1.4 kWh
  • 0–100 km/h in approximately 9.5 s (manufacturer's claim)
  • Top speed of 180 km/h
  • Official fuel consumption of about 4.2–4.3 l/100 km per catalogue

Safety and Assistance Systems

The driver assistance package includes adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane keeping, traffic sign recognition, a rear-view camera, and parking sensors.

  • Adaptive cruise control
  • Emergency braking system
  • Lane keeping
  • Traffic sign recognition
  • Rear-view camera and rear parking sensors — standard
  • Calibration, clarity of warnings, and personal customization are important

Price

The price of the Hybrid 155 Journey version per the price list from 13 October 2026 is 121,500 zloty. This is the base price, and actual terms should be confirmed with the dealer.

  • List price from 13 October 2026: 121,500 PLN
  • The catalog price is indicated; promotions and financing terms may apply
  • A simpler version may be a better value if the Journey trim is more than needed
